The map below locates our beautiful region between Grenoble, Chambéry and Lyon. The village of Saint-Pierre de Chartreuse is located in the very heart of the Chartreuse massif culminating at more than 2000m above sea level, surrounded by four peaks: the Charmant Som, the Grand Som, La Scia (summit of the ski resort) and Chamechaude (2082m, the highest peak of the massif).

Arriving from Grenoble, take the D512 towards Saint-Pierre de Chartreuse (via La Tronche and le sappey en chartreuse).
Coming from Lyon, exit at Voiron, take the direction of Saint-Laurent du Pont, then Saint-Pierre de Chartreuse.
Arriving from Chambéry, you can take the direction of Les Echelles, then Saint-Laurent du Pont. You can also go through the Col du Granier (more scenic and mountainous route).

In case of heavy snow...

If you are arriving from Lyon or Valence, we advise you to take the following route when arriving from Saint Laurent du Pont (D520B). Arriving at the foot of Saint Pierre de Chartreuse, in La Diat, take the D512 to the right after the bridge towards the Col de Porte for about 1.8 km and reach Valombré by taking the Chemin du Grand Logis on your right. Le Valombré is at the very end of this charming little road (1.3km), on your left at number 736.

If you arrive from Grenoble by the Col de Porte (by the D512), just after the Martinière Campsite join the Valombré by taking the Chemin du Grand Logis on your left (Bus shelter at the intersection with the D512).
